Alimpungatan?

The other day my brother and his wife came here for visit with their little cute boy. His boy will be turning 1 years old this end of the month of July. I had fun playing with their little cute boy, his a bit naughty. He likes to bite and punching peeps! He punch me many times but that doesn’t hurt at all.
Anyway let’s moved to another topic, let me tell you about my daughter this time. My 2 years old daughter had been waking up at the middle of the night for the past few days. She always crying and calling me and seems scared! Thought to ask other mom out there if this normal for kids? I am worried when she does this things. I mean, when she woke up at the middle of the night, crying and walk or play. But she still on sleep. I think they call it alimpungatan? Not sure. Any comments?

    Hi there.

Well, that little boy is SO adorable. I have a 2 year old (will be 3 in Sept.) And, she every now and again will wake up in the middle of the night to cry and stuff. But she’s still asleep. So, you normally have to just let them go. But, just let them know that you’re there by maybe telling them “it’s okay, mommy’s here” that’s what I do with my girl. Then, she’ll go back to sleep. I think it’s just that they’re having nightmares. Sometimes must be going on, like she’s seeing something scary, and dreaming about it. So, tell her it’s okay. And, that she doesn’t have to be scared and that mommy is there for her. Type of thing. Good luck. I hope you’re little girl is doing better.

It’s probably another stage for children that they get bad dreams. Yeah, their mind thinks a lot.
