I don’t mean cardboard boxes, shoe boxes or utility boxes. I’m actually talking about decorative boxes that I can display in my bedroom. These decorative boxes are not only good for aesthetic purposes but they can also be practical and useful. Music boxes are examples of these. Isn’t it most music boxes are also jewelry boxes? You can place your valuables inside and every time you open it to get your favorite jewelry pieces, you get treated to sweet music. You can also use a music box to store different odds and ends, knick-knacks and various trinkets.
But if there’s one type of box that I really want to collect, it would have to be a Limoges. Limoges boxes are hand crafted and hand painted and often made of porcelain. They originate from France and are synonymous with fine quality. They truly are boxes worth collecting so it’s no wonder that many people, especially the rich ones, make sure that they have a collection of these boxes. They are much coveted pieces and given the chance, I want to have my own too!
