Here, the main mode of transportation for majority of people who don’t own cars is a public utility vehicle (PUVs). It could be in the form of a bus or a jeepney. However, I heard somewhere that one of the most lucrative businesses in the country right now is transport service.
When you are an operator for a transport service company, you will provide them with your own vehicle, either a van or any form of utility vehicle that can load passengers. But unlike PUVs which mostly traverse main thoroughfares, a vehicle operating for a transport service travel specific routes, basically serving as a “service” for passengers.
People prefer such public transport because it’s more convenient given that the units are air conditioned and well-maintained. I am actually thinking if investing on a unit would be an advisable business endeavor for my husband and I. I think it would be a great source of income. But of course, I wouldn’t use axis wheels on the service unit. I would reserve those for the family car we would buy in the future.
